Or gives you more: Using similar search terms

So you're searching for your topic, and you think, "I know there has to be more out there." Chances are, there is. How can you find that information? Why, by using similar search terms, of course!

Here's how it works. When you search for a term like internet addiction, keep in mind that not every researcher is going to use that term. This is where you get to use some critical thinking. What other terms might be used? What about excessive internet use? What about problematic internet use? Now that you have a couple of similar terms, how do you add them to your search? Simple.

Or gives you more!

Link the terms together with OR in the same search box. For example: internet addiction OR excessive internet use OR problematic internet use. This is what that would look like in the search box.

search for internet addiction or excessive internet use or problematic internet use
