Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons

Creative Commons copyright licenses give creators a standardized way to grant copyright permissions to their creative work. The Creative Commons tools and users have created a digital commons of content that can be copied, distributed, edited, remixed, and built upon, all within the boundaries of copyright law.

The most permissive is the CC By license which allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.
