These "Start Your Research" articles can be very useful when you're in the early stages of your research assignment. An encyclopedic overview  article can give you ideas, provide keywords for searches, and cover controversies and historical background. The "Political Satire" article provides many examples of political satirists such as Jonathan Swift and Thomas Nast as well as more recent satirists including Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, and the satirical online site, The Onion.

As you read the encyclopedic background articles, jot down interesting ideas and keywords.
