Search Strategies

Use OneSearch to find more sources on this topic:

  1. Search: racism or discrimination or prejudice or racial bias
  2. On the result screen, click Advanced Search under the search bar.
  3. In the second search bar, narrow your search by adding the terms: united states or u.s. or america
  4. To narrow results further, change the drop-down menu next to each search box to: Subject or Title.

Adding similar terms connected with the OR command tells the database to look for results that mention any, some, or all of the connected terms. This will expand your search and increase your number of results while remaining on topic.
